SIMON GRAB
Switzerland

︎︎︎Simon Grab

The co-founder of ganzerplatz sound studios, Simon Grab has been an active musician and producer in a wide range of musical contexts. As a composer and sound artist he produces music & sound design for feature films, documentaries, theatre and radio. In live performances and installations Grab uses the venue as an acoustic playground. He likes exploring new grounds by negating existing borders, though staying addicted to dub and noise, with an everlasting punk attitude. Recently focused on the concepts of  reduction, and the peculiarity of self-referential systems, the album Anthropocene Panic (sound-space Records, London, 2020) follows his recent LP Posthuman Species and the EP Extinction (OUS records, Zurich). Grab is also co-founder of the (M)OTHERLAND collective in Zurich and part of the Motherland Sound System, presenting urban sounds from the transnational and globalized music scenes worldwide since 2007.
